COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State fencers completed four days of competition at the Division I North American Cup tournament in Virginia Beach, Va., Monday.

Overall, 19 Buckeyes participated in the tournament, with three swashbucklers finishing Top 10 and seven earning spots in the Top 25. Senior Katarzyna Dabrowa led the team by earning seventh place in women's epee. Narayan Pathi competed for the men's epee unit and finished 16th. Daniel Tafoya followed closely behind by taking 19th place.

Junior Zain Shaito garnered eighth place in men's foil, earning another Top 10 title for the team. On the women's foil squad, sophomore Mona Shaito finished 14th for the Buckeyes.

Sophomore Celina Merza offered direction for the women's sabre group by posting a 10th place finish. Senior Max Stearns competed in men's sabre and finished 23rd, earning a place in the Top 25. 

The Ohio State fencing team will compete next Dec. 7-10 at the Division I North American Cup in Milwaukee, Wis.
