Harvey Garners Silver at Fencing Junior World Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio- Freshman Eleanor Harvey, one of four Buckeyes competing, garnered a silver medal for women's foil while competing for Canada at the Fencing Junior World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from April 4-12.
Fares Arfa and Alanna Goldie also competed for Canada. Arfa earned 43rd place in men's sabre, while Goldie finished in 30th place in women's foil. Mona Shaito finished in 16th place for women's foil competing for Lebanon.
Canada finished in 10th with Harvey earned Canada's only medal at the Junior World Championships. The United States won the competition, tallying 272 points.
