Piasecka Earns Silver at Penn State Garret Open

Sophomore Piasecka one of 10 Buckeyes to finish in Top 10

2010-11 (Junior Season): Did not face varsity competition ... placed seventh at Cincinnati, Ohio, North American Cup ... took 29th at Penn State's Garret Open.

2009-10 (Sophomore Season): Finished 26th at the North American Cup event in San Jose, Calif. ... tallied eight wins at the NYU Duals and four wins the next night at the St. John's Duals ... one of seven Buckeyes to finish in the Top 10 at the Midwest Conference Championships, taking seventh to garner second-team All-MWC accolades ... finished fifth at the NCAA Midwest Regional Qualifier in Evanston, Ill.

Prior to Ohio State: Was ninth at the world cup and helped lead his team to a national championship in 2008 ... was a cadet national champion in epee ... took third at the Balcanic championships.

Personal: Son of Lidija Beko and Dobrica Vesic ... has one sister, Olga ... also swam and competed in judo in high school ... lists his greatest sports thrill as placing ninth in the world cup.
