Buckeye Fencers Prepare for NCAA Championships

Eleven fencers selected to compete in Waltham, Mass.

2014-2015 (Sophomore Season): Earned a season-high 24-0 bout-record at OSU Duals … also went 10-2 at NYU Invitational … competed in St. John’s Invitational, OSU Invitational, and Northwestern Duals …  Finished in 19th place at  the Garret Penn State Open … Claimed seventh place at Midwest Regionals.

2013-14 (Freshman Season):
Won a team-high 69 matches on her way to winning both the Midwest Fencing Conference Championships and Midwest Regionals...earned a sixth place finish at the 2014 NCAA Championship.

Prior to Ohio State- Fenced with her high school and Mission Fencing club...made all-Long Island and first team all-Long Island four years in a row...county champion three years in a row...captained her team 2012-2013...took first place at the Junior Olympics in 2012...finished third place at the Cadet World Cup in Konin, Poland, in 2011...was two time Division IA Champion at the Summer Nationals in 2011 and 2012.

Personal - Daughter of Chris and Maria Antipas...has five siblings, Lindsey, Chris, Corey, Demi, and Michael...sister, Demi, fences at Temple...brother, Michael, fences at Notre Dame...majoring in fashion and retail studies...goal is to attend the Olympics post-graduation...enjoys art, playing piano and any other sport... greatest sport thrill is being the anchor of a team event and winning.
