Michael Warinner joined the Department of Athletics on December 1, 2008 as Assistant Director of Compliance - Financial Aid. Warinner serves as either the primary or back-up financial aid compliance contact for all 36 sports and acts as the main liaison with the Office of Student Financial Aid. Warinner also administers the NCAA Student Athlete Opportunity Fund, training table, summer awarding, and international student-athlete tax reporting. A native of Strasburg, Ohio, Warinner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Baldwin Wallace College, where he also participated on the Football team. Warinner has worked in higher education for over 17 years with 11 of those years involved with athletics compliance. He was previously employed at Kent State, Texas Tech, and The Cleveland Institute of Art where he was Director of Financial Aid. Warinner is married to Yvette and currently splits time between his residences in Grandview Heights and Westlake.
