Lewis VanHoose, in his seventh season with the Buckeyes, handles all equipment needs for the football program. VanHoose coordinates all day-to-day operations at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, as well as setting up for home games and packing for road games.
A native of West Liberty, Ohio, VanHoose is a 1992 graduate of West Liberty Salem High School, and a 1996 graduate of the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in history and speech communication.
During his 13-year career as an equipment manager, VanHoose has served as the head equipment manager at Louisiana Tech (1997-2001) and Eastern Michigan (2001-04). He has also served training camp internships with the NFL's San Diego Chargers (1993, 1994 and Super Bowl XXIX), Washington Redskins (1995) and Miami Dolphins (1996).
