Takamasa Sakamoto begins his first season as the Intern Athletic Trainer at Ohio State, primarily with the Softball program.
Sakamoto was born in Dublin, OH, and grew up in Birmingham, AL. He is a 2012 graduate of University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. As an Alabama undergraduate, he assisted with Baseball, Football, local high school, Softball, and Tennis teams. During this time, he also completed internships with the Champion Sports Medicine and the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.
Following graduation, Sakamoto attended Wichita State University where he completed his Master's degree in Exercise Science. He also served as a Graduate Assistant, primarily working with both Men's and Women's Golf and Tennis teams.
