Chris Schneider re-joined the Ohio State Department of Athletics in August 2006 as an assistant athletics director for sport administration and was promoted to associate athletics director in July 2007. At Ohio State, Schneider oversees the men's and women's ice hockey, soccer and tennis, men's volleyball, baseball, pistol and rifle teams. He works closely with the coaching staff of each of these programs in all aspects of the operation of the teams.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University, Schneider began working in the Ohio State Athletic Ticket Office as an intern in event management. In 1998, he was appointed as a graduate assistant in the athletics department before being promoted to assistant director of events and athletic tickets in 1999.
Schneider then became the assistant director of championships for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) from 2001 to 2006, serving as a staff liaison to the men's and women's water polo, men's soccer, men's tennis, men's ice hockey, men's and women's volleyball and men's gymnastics committees.
Schneider is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.
