Paul Dawson joined the Ohio State University's athletic training staff in July 2014 and currently serves as the athletic trainer for baseball. Dawson previously worked two years as the athletic trainer for the womens's hockey, pistol, and rifle teams.
Dawson completed his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Olivet Nazarene University(Bourbonnais, IL) in 2008. During this time Dawson completed an internship with the Chicago Bears(2007). After graduation, he worked for three years as an athletic trainer at Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, PA. There, Paul managed the health care needs for the football, wrestling, men's lacrosse, and baseball teams and assisted with event coverage for all other sports programs.
Dawson then attended the post-professional athletic training master's program at the University of Oregon. While there, he worked as a graduate assistant with the football and baseball programs. He received his master's degree in Human Physiology with a concentration in Athletic Training in June 2013.
After finishing graduate school, Dawson worked as an assistant athletic trainer for the University of Washington and managed the health care needs of the baseball program. Dawson's professional memberships include the NATA, GLATA, OATA, and PHATS.
