In July 2016, Jeff Smith was named an Assistant Director of Compliance at The Ohio State University. Jeff serves as the primary compliance contact for Men’s and Women’s Golf, Men’s and Women’s Fencing, Men’s Volleyball, Softball, Men’s and Women’s Rifle, and Men’s and Women’s Pistol.
Jeff previously worked at the University of Kansas as the Compliance Specialist. Prior to his time at Kansas, Jeff spent time at the Big 12 Conference office where he served as the secondary contact for the ten Big 12 institutions. Jeff began his compliance career as an intern at the University of Tennessee during his final year of law school.
A native of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He received his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2014. Jeff currently resides in Columbus.
