Pete Hagan has been the associate athletics director for finance at Ohio State since February 2006. He previously served as assistant athletics director for finance since 1995.
Hagan helps plan and oversee the athletics department's $109 million operating budget. His responsibilities include reviewing and monitoring all accounts, preparing monthly analysis and financial reports, approving requisitions for purchases, departmental travel, grant-in-aid disbursement and equipment operations.
Hagan is in his second stint with the Buckeyes. He was assistant business manager of athletics for seven years between 1982 and 1989, and left to become assistant athletics director at the University of Minnesota, where he spent the next six years. He returned to the Ohio State business office in November 1995 as the assistant athletics director.
Hagan is a native of Toronto, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio State in 1978 with a degree in accounting. After graduation, he started working for his alma mater as a staff auditor in internal auditing. He joined the athletics department in 1982.
Hagan is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and the College Athletic Business Managers Association.
He and his wife, Susan, have two daughters, Sarah and Emily.
