COLUMBUS, Ohio - The NCAA announced Columbus has been awarded nine championships for the 2014-15 through 2017-18 academic years, with Ohio State and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission to host eight events. "We are very proud to provide the Columbus community with the opportunity to see NCAA championships," Mike Penner, Ohio State Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, said. "Our Ohio State student-athletes will now have the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of a hometown crowd, and for our seniors, it could be their last time.  We are committed to and relish the chance to provide a remarkable experience for the teams and fans visiting Columbus."
