  • Di Lorenzo claimed her third-career national title on Sunday at the UTSA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Sunday in straight sets (6-1, 6-1).
  • Sandbothe broke the school on Wednesday night for most blocks in program history. The 2015 First Team All-American recorded the 518th block of her career versus No. 3 Wisconsin. The school record had stood for 25 years (Dawn McDougall – 1988-91).

Micah Jordan, wrestling

  • Jordan won a title at the Eastern Michigan Open on Saturday fighting in the 149 weight class. He took the most impressive decision of the weekend for the Buckeyes when he outdueled 2015 All-American Justin Oliver (Central Michigan) by a score of 15-7.

No. 6 Football (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten)

  • In front of the second-largest crowd in Ohio Stadium history (108,750), the No. 6 Buckeyes beat No. 10 Nebraska 62-3 Saturday evening.
  • The 62 points scored against the Cornhuskers was the most Ohio State has ever scored against a Top 10 team; the last time the Scarlet and Gray scored 50-plus points against a Top 10 squad was in 1968.
  • J.T. Barrett tossed four touchdowns in the route and is now responsible for 94 touchdowns in his career. Barrett matched a career high by completing 26 passes.
  • The defense racked up two pick-sixes to break the previous school record of four set by the 1987 and 1996 Ohio State teams.

Women’s/Men’s Swimming

  • Both men’s and women’s swimming teams picked up wins Friday evening against Denison University. The women outscored Denison 187-107, and the men won by a score of 186-103.

  • The Ohio State men had the fastest time in every single swimming and diving event throughout the night. Distance freestyle-extraordinaire Brayden Seal took the top spot in the 1000 freestyle with his time of 9:24.35, the fastest by nearly 20 seconds.

  • Ohio State picked up two shutout victories this weekend against Lindenwood, winning by scores of 4-0 and 3-0.
  • In game one Friday night, the Scarlet and Gray scored one goal late in the second period before rattling off three more in the final stanza; Arianna DePinto and Katie Mikkelsen recorded their first-career collegiate goals in the game.
  • Lauren Boyle stole the show Saturday night with her first-career hat trick. She scored two in the first period and put in an empty netter to complete the rare feat.

Wrestling
