  • All-American Christina Manning scored 28 points for the Big Ten champion Ohio State women's track team by winning the 100m hurdles, 100m dash and placing second in the 200m dash. A in her final conference championship meet, Manning also helped bring in another 10 points as part of the 4x100m relay team that claimed the gold medal.

  • Ohio State dropped a 4-2 decision at No. 25 Oklahoma State May 8 at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
  • Ohio State 1B/RHP Josh Dezse has been named to the watch list for the 2012 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award, the College Baseball Hall of Fame announced May 8.
  • Ohio State blanked No. 25 Oklahoma State, 4-0, May 9 at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
  • Ohio State baseball team opened its three-game set with Seattle with a 4-1 victory May 11 at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium.
  • Ohio State fell to Seattle, 11-1, May 12 at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium.
  • Ohio State defeated Seattle, 7-2, May 13 on Senior Day at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium.

  • Ohio State senior defensive lineman John Simon has been named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list for the second consecutive year. Simon, an exercise science major from Youngstown, Ohio (Cardinal Mooney), was a semifinalist last year for the award that equally recognizes athletic performance and the personal character attributes of the player.

    Men's Golf

  • Ohio State earned a spot in an NCAA Men's Golf Regional, the NCAA selection committee announced May 7. The Buckeyes will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to compete in the 54-hole Ann Arbor Regional, May 17-19.

    No. 22 Women's Golf

  • With a round three total of 296, Ohio State secured a spot at nationals with a sixth-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Central Regional May 12. The Buckeyes totaled a 908 en route to their top 8 finish on the par 72, 6,264-yard Scarlet Course in Columbus.

    No. 4 Rowing
    Head coach: Andy Teitelbaum

  • No. 4 Ohio State finished second with 145 points at the 2012 Big Ten Championships May 13 at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Ind. Michigan was crowned the Big Ten champion with 147 points, while Wisconsin rounded out the Top 3, scoring 122 points.

    Softball (31-23, 10-13 Big Ten)

  • Alicia Herron, a senior captain on the Ohio State softball team, was named to the Capital One Academic All-District V First Team for the third time in her career May 4.
  • Ohio State split a doubleheader at Penn State May 11 at Beard Field. The Buckeyes won game one, 5-2, but lost game two, 6-5, in eight innings against the Nittany Lions.
  • Ohio State finished out the 2012 campaign on a strong note, claiming a series victory at Penn State May 12 with a 4-1 victory vs. the Nittany Lions. With two wins at Penn State, the Buckeyes become the first team this season to claim a series win at Beard Field.

    No. 3 Men's Tennis (33-3, 11-0 Big Ten)

  • Ohio State defeated East Tennessee State 4-0 in the First Round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship May 12 at the outdoor Varsity Tennis Center in Columbus.
  • Ohio State dealt Notre Dame a 4-0 loss in the Second Round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship May 13 at the Varsity Indoor Tennis Center in Columbus. The victory served as the 148th-consecutive win at home for the Buckeyes.

    Men's Track and Field
    Interim head coach: Ed Beathea

  • Michael Hartfield won the Big Ten title in the long jump May 12 at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Madison, Wis., highlighting the second day of competition from Dan McClimon Memorial Track for the Ohio State men's track and field team.
  • Ohio State finished fourth at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Madison, Wis., May 13 with a total of 86 team points.

    Women's Track and Field
    Head coach: Karen Dennis

  • Three gold medals and 93 points were picked up by Ohio State on the last day of the Big Ten championships to help the Buckeyes successfully defend their conference title en route to bringing home the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championship, the second in school history and in as many years. All-American Christina Manning scored 28 points for Ohio State by winning the 100m hurdles, 100m dash and placing second in the 200m dash. A in her final conference championship meet, Manning also helped bring in another 10 points as part of the 4x100m relay team that claimed the gold medal.

  • C.J. Magrum was named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Division I Team, the NWCA announced May 8. Magrum, a redshirt junior from Oak Harbor, Ohio, is a three-time recipient.
