'BTN LiveBIG' Features Ohio State's Recycling Initiative, Neurological Medical Advancement

CHICAGO - BTN LiveBIG continues Monday with stories about Ohio State's Zero Waste initiative that helps increase recycling on-campus, research on automotive safety and how a team at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is helping patients suffering from neurological disorders. The episode will air at approximately 9 PM ET Monday following the Ohio State and Nebraska men's basketball game.

This episode includes Ohio State's Zero Waste initiative that promotes recycling and compost usage on campus, including on football Saturdays when dozens of recycling bins are placed throughout the Horseshoe. Also featured in the episode is Ohio State's Dr. Ali Rezai's advancement of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), a medical treatment that helps patients suffering from debilitating neurological disorders like brain tremors and Parkinson's disease.

The show will also feature research on the safety of automotive manufacturing assembly line workers and the on-campus simulation lab that helps researchers study the behavior of drivers with hopes to make driving safer for everyone. Also during the show, Ohio State men's basketball coach Thad Matta and football coach Urban Meyer share with viewers why they feel Ohio State is special.
