Ohio State LiFE Sports Service & Outreach - Service Partnerships with Youth Organizations

  Ohio State LiFE Sports

Service Partnerships with Youth Organizations:
As part of an outreach agenda, faculty, staff and students from the LiFE Sports Initiative strive to increase partnerships with other local youth agencies in an effort to improve both youth programming and evaluation of programming currently being provided as well as provide OSU students with service opportunities that benefit both students and the agencies.

Currently the LiFE Sports Initiative is partnering with BGCC. This partnership aims to improve the quality of services currently offered at the BGCC as well as provide a place for LiFE Sports Camp participants to continue their involvement in sports and recreational activities year-round. As part of this partnership, BGCC hosts the LiFE Sports Camp Clinics as well as provides field placement and research experiences for current OSU faculty, staff, and students.

In addition to BGCC, LiFE Sports is also partnering with All Teens Hopeful About Tomorrow (All THAT). Staff from LiFE Sports are working with All THAT to develop targeted strategies for youth related to academic, career, and life skill goals. All THAT is located on Hamilton Road in Columbus, Ohio and focuses on working with high school age youth.

Finally, LiFE Sports also is working with Northmor Local School District, located in Galion, Ohio, to adapt the LiFE Sports model for use in the afterschool setting.

If you are part of a youth organization that is interested in partnering with LiFE Sports, please contact Becky Wade-Mdivanian
