  Ohio State LiFE Sports

The 2012 LiFE Sports camp is FULL. We do not have a waiting list.  

Camp & Clinic:
The LiFE Sports Program is a free, four (4) week program, sponsored by The Ohio State University Department of Athletics, College of Social Work, Department of Recreational Sport, College of Physical Activity and Educational Services and the Ohio Department of Education. The camp's mission is "to foster social competence among youth through their involvement in sport, fitness, and education activities." It is offered to both boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 18 years old (8 year olds will be accepted if they turn 9 on or before the first day of camp, June 11, 2012.). Please note that 9 to 15 year olds will participate in the traditional LiFE Sports program, while youth ages 15 to 18 will have the opportunity to participate in the newly developed LiFE Sports Youth Leadership Camp

All youth participating in the LiFE Sports will receive the following:

  • Sports and Education Activities led by quality youth development professionals, including a Career Day
  • Daily breakfast and lunch
  • Physical Exams
  • Transportation to and from camp
  • LiFE Sports T-shirt
  • Camp Awards and Weekly Attendance Prizes
  • 2013 Ohio State Football Spring Game Tickets
  • Sport- and education-based activities throughout the 2011/2012 school year

During the 2010 LiFE Sports camp, all youth will participate in the following sports:

  • Basketball
  • Foootball
  • Health & Fitness
  • Lacrosse
  • Social Dance
  • Soccer
  • Softball
  • Swimming
  • Volleyball

Registration Day:May 19th, 2012 (Doors open at 8:00am)
 
Parent Orientation:June 5, 2012
 
Camp Dates:June 11 - July 6, 2012 (no camp on July 4th in observance of Independence Day)
 
Daily Camp Time:8:00 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
