LiFE Sports is made possible through countless hours of work by OSU faculty, staff, and community partners.
Advisory Board
The LiFE Sports Advisory Committee actively provides policy and programming guidance, philanthropic leadership and direction, and general promotion to LiFE Sports so as to support the organization's mission and needs. The LiFE Sports Advisory Board is comprised of committed University and community leaders. Below is a list of current LiFE Sports Advisory Board members.

Leadership Team
The LiFE Sports Leadership Team provides programming guidance and day-to-day support to the organization's mission and needs. The LiFE Sports Leadership Team is comprised of leaders from both the Department of Athletics and the College of Social Work. A brief biography of members of the current LiFE Sports Leadership team is provided below.
Jerome Davis (B.S.B.A, M.A., Ph.D., The Ohio State University) is currently an Assistant Director of Event Management in the Department of Athletics and Director of the Ohio State LiFE Sports Camp. He is dedicated to providing a great experience to people of all ages through sport. He enjoys helping students excel at developing into great people, and to become effective members of society. He accomplishes this through his work in athletics, the LiFE Sports Camp and in the classroom.
Dawn Anderson Butcher (PhD, University of Utah, MSW, University of Utah) is a professor at the OSU College of Social Work. Dawn currently serves as the primary researcher for the LiFE Sports Initiative. Her research interests include: positive youth development, school-family-community partnerships, children's mental health, school social work, and interprofessional collaboration. Rebecca Wade-Mdivanian (B.S.W., Capital University, M.S.W., The Ohio State University) is currently the Director of Youth Development Initiatives in the College of Social Work at the Ohio State University. In this position, she is responsible for the management and leadership of all current youth development grants at the Community and Youth Collaborative Institute (CAYCI). In addition, she serves as the Education Coordinator for LiFE Sports. Becky joined the LiFE Sports in 2008.
Allie Riley (B.A. The University of Virginia, M.S. Purdue University, M.S.W. The Ohio State University) is currently a Ph.D. student and graduate teaching assistant in the College of Social Work. Her research interests include youth development in sport and recreation, school, and after school settings. She also serves as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) for the LiFE Sports Initiative. Allie joined the LiFE Sports in 2008.
Camp Staff
Each year, LiFE Sports hires over 60 staff members for the annual LiFE Sports Camp. These staff members fulfill roles such as, camp counselor, recreation leader, and education leaders. A brief biography of members of the upcoming 2011 LiFE Sports Camp Staff is provided below.
Camp Administration

Mike Marshall - Counselor Coordinator

Ericka Hoon (B.A. The Ohio State University) is currently the Assistant Director of Event Management and Camps in the Department of Athletics at Ohio State University. In this position, Ericka oversees game day operations for multiple sports as well as Football Game Day Parking operations and facility scheduling for all Buckeye Sports Camps. In addition, she has served as the Swimming Coordinator for the last three years and has been a part of LiFE Sports since 2008.

Athletic Trainers
Chalisa Fonza (M.A., ATC) joined the OSU Athletic Training Staff in 2000 after working in both Division I athletics and clinical practice. She works primarily out of the Schottenstein AT Facility with the Women's Basketball Team and Women's Golf Team. Chalisa has been a member of the LiFE Sports staff since 2010.
Vince O'Brien (B.S., ATC) is beginning his 16th year at OSU. Vince oversees the athletic training facility in the Jerome Schottenstein Center which houses men's and women's basketball, men's ice hockey, men's and women's golf and cheerleading. He is primarily responsible for men's basketball and golf. Vince has been a member of the LiFE Sports staff since 2010.

Employment, Internship & Volunteer Opportunities
In addition to employment at the LiFE Sports Summer Camp, opportunities exist for OSU and other university students to complete internships both during the summer
and throughout the year. Finally, volunteers are always needed to help support our programming both during the summer and throughout the year at our sports clinics.
