Our Partners:
LiFE Sports is made possible by the contributions of both on-campus and community partners. Current partners of LiFE Sports are listed below along with a brief overview of their contribution to the LiFE Sports Initiative.

University Partners

The Department of Recreational Sports is a vital partner to LiFE Sports. The Department of Recreational Sports provides free facility usage for the annual LiFE Sports Summer Camp. Without the facility usage, LiFE Sports Summer Camp would not be able to operate on an annual basis. Faculty within the School of Physical Activities and Educational Services currently partner with LiFE Sports to ensure that PAES students can complete internships within the program as well as partner to offer the Youth Development Minor. Community Partners

The Boys and Girls Club of Columbus (BGCC) is home to many of the LiFE Sports clinics throughout the year. Their facilities on Gift Street and Cleveland Avenue allow easy access for many of the LiFE Sports participants. Additionally, LiFE Sports helps the BGCC by providing supervision for social work field placements throughout the year at their clubs. The Ohio Department of Education administers the National Summer Lunch program that it utilized by LiFE Sports to ensure that all youth attending the summer camp receive breakfast and lunch on a daily basis. The Cardinal Health Foundation provides support the LiFE Sports Initiative through their Prescription Drug Abuse Community grants. LiFE Sports has received this grant since 2009 and it provides funding to support increasing the awareness of our youth about the risks of abusing prescription drugs. The Columbus Crew Foundation partners with LiFE Sports to provide an annual soccer clinic for our youth. Additionally in 2011, the Columbus Crew Foundation also provided all youth attending the clinic with a free ticket to one of their upcoming games. The Academic Acceleration Academy (AAA) partners with LiFE Sports Youth Leadership Camp. Students from AAA work during the summer as youth leaders and learn valuable leadership and life skills. For more information about AAA, please visit their website at: academic-acceleration.com
The Purdue Athletes LiFE Success (PALS) Program along with faculty from the program partner with LiFE Sports to conduct research projects and develop new youth development tools. Like LiFE Sports, PALS is a former NYSP. For more information about PALS, please visit their website at: www.purdue.edu
Dr. Anthony Amorose, faculty at Illinois State University - School of Kinesiology and Recreation, partners with LiFE Sports to conduct joint research projects. Dr. Amorose's research focuses on the factors that influence the psychological and social development of sport and physical activity participants. Over half of LiFE Sports participants also are students within the Columbus City Schools. LiFE Sports partners with Columbus City Schools to ensure that the students who need LiFE Sports the most are made aware of the programming available to them and their families.  Northmor Local School District, located in Galion, Ohio, currently utilizes the LiFE Sports model in their afterschool programming. For more information about Northmor Local Schools, please visit their website at: northmor.k12.oh.us
LiFE Sports is also partnering with All THAT (Teens Hopeful About Tomorrow). Staff from LiFE Sports are working with All THAT to develop targeted strategies for youth related to academic, career, and life skill goals.
