COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 25 Ohio State men's soccer team lost 2-0 to Wisconsin at the McClimon Complex in Madison, Wis. Sunday afternoon. The Buckeyes fall to 8-4-4 on the season, 2-2-0 in the Big Ten, while the Badgers improve to 6-6-2 overall and 3-2-0 in the conference.

"We played poorly today," head coach John Bluem said after the game. "It was simply not a good effort by the Ohio State team, who lacked the emotion and intensity needed to play a Big Ten game and, as such, we paid the price. You just don't win a Big Ten game if you don't come to play and compete."

Danny Ahlering and Taylor Waspi scored for Wisconsin, who moves into first place in the Big Ten with six points. Ohio State moves into a tie for third with Indiana and Michigan State, though standings could shuffle further as the Hoosiers wrap up their game with Northwestern this afternoon.

Konrad Warzycha led the Buckeyes in scoring attempts, taking six shots, while Andrew Magill was not far behind with his four. Ohio State out-shot the Badgers 16-12 on the day, but a goal from the other side in each half allowed Wisconsin to come away with the win.

Ahlering found the back of the net in the 32nd minute and Waspi followed early in the 56th off an assist from Ata Osby to account for the scores.

The Buckeyes return to action a week from today against Indiana at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 in Bloomington, Ind. The Hoosiers are 7-6-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in the conference prior to their match with Northwestern Sunday.
