Voted the 2009 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, becoming just the second player in conference history to be named defensive player of the year in consecutive seasons ... Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year ... Big Ten All-Defensive Team as voted on by the league head coaches ... won the starting point guard job in preseason camp and started all but one game she played in (28-of-29) ... bothered off and on by a knee injury ... still was arguably the best on-the-ball defender in the Big Ten ... ranked first in the conference with 2.7 steals and averaged 2.8 assists per game (averages were skewed by limited minutes due to injury towards the end of the season) ... had 12 games with four or more steals ... averaged 4.7 points per game ... tied a career high with 11 points and had four steals against Purdue Feb. 21 ... hit two FT’s in the final seconds to help Ohio State hold off Wisconsin on the road, 80-77, Feb. 10 ... had a seven-point, seven-steal, seven-rebound and four-assist performance at Purdue Feb. 7 ... had 18 games with two or fewer turnovers in her first season running the point .. had a total of only five turnovers in her first five starts ... had three-straight games with zero turnovers (Boston, Southern and Colgate) ... scored a career-high 11 points to go along with three assists and three steals in the win over Wisconsin Jan. 20 ... scored 10 points to complement six steals and six assists in the win at Iowa Jan. 6 ... recorded six steals each in wins over Michigan and Iowa ... forced Michigan State’s starting point guard into 11 turnovers ... recorded a career-high with seven assists in the win over Colgate ... posted six steals, five assists and six points in the win over Youngstown State ... 2007-08 “Buckeye Power Club” recipient from the strength and conditioning staff, an award given to one athlete from each team who exemplified certain qualities in the weight room such as leadership, work ethic and winning attitude.

Tabbed "top defensive player in the state" by Detroit Free Press in 2005... averaged 6.9 steals per game as a senior ... offensive numbers included 22.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists a contest ... rated one of 10 finalists for the Michigan Miss Basketball award, honoring the top player in the state, by Detroit Free Press ... named Huron's 2006 MVP after leading team to Michigan state district finals ... ranks eighth all-time in Michigan high school history in career steals ... was an Ann Arbor News first-team selection as a junior for the second year in a row ... in junior season, posted 15.8 points, 4.4 assists and 5.6 steals per outing ... The Ohio State University Department of Athletics sponsors 36 fully funded varsity teams – 17 for women, 16 for men and three co-educational. The department is committed to providing its more than 1,000 student-athletes with the finest in academic and athletics support in order to ensure a quality and life-enhancing experience. The Department of Athletics is completely self-supporting and receives no university monies, tax dollars or student fees. In Fiscal Year 2009-10, the Department of Athletics will transfer back to the University more than $29 million in assessments, including $14.5 million in grant-in-aid costs.
