AN OVERVIEW
A three-year starter for Warren Central, Walter Offutt averaged 17.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals as a junior. In three seasons, he totaled 824 career points, 295 rebounds, 240 assists and 136 steals. Offutt fell short in becoming the career leader in all four statistical categories after a season-ending injury kept him out of competition his senior season.

Offutt was named 2008 Associated Press All-Indiana High Honorable Mention and named All-Marion County and All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference for three-consecutive years. Offutt led the team in scoring, steals, rebounds and assists in each of his three seasons playing, while being named Warren Central’s Most Valuable Player in each of his three seasons.

Offutt played in the same conference that produced former Buckeyes Greg Oden and Mike Conley Jr. (Lawrence North), current Portland Trail Blazer forward Josh McRoberts (Carmel) and 2008 NBA Draft selection Eric Gordon (North Central).

Walter is the son of Albert and Darlene Offutt. He enjoys listening to music during his free time.
