AN OVERVIEWDallas Lauderdale helped Solon High School to the Ohio Division I and Western Reserve Conference championships in each of his four seasons, as well as two regional runner-up finishes his sophomore and junior years.
The 2007 Western Reserve Conference Most Valuable Player, Lauderdale was a Division I second-team all-state, all-city and All-Western Reserve recipient. For the fourth-consecutive season, Lauderdale led Solon to an undefeated record in the WRC. Also a first-team Northeast Lakes All-District honoree, Lauderdale was instrumental in guiding the Comets to the 2007 district title. In the semifinal game of the district championship against Cleveland Heights, Lauderdale’s 3-point conversion gave Solon the lead for good with 30 seconds left after both teams were tied, 57-all.
The team’s leading scorer as captain, Lauderdale averaged 24 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks and two assists during his high school career. During his sophomore year at Solon, he scored 21 points per game, while grabbing 9.9 rebounds per game en route to first-team all-state honors. He was part of a lineup that helped the Comets advance to the Big School Regional Finals vs. Canton McKinley that year.
In 2007, Lauderdale was one of three high school students from the Cleveland area nominated for the Outstanding High School Athlete award presented by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. Ohio State wrestling’s junior Lance Palmer was one of the other nominees.
Lauderdale is the son of Dallas II and Carol Lauderdale. His uncle Jim Chones played for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and his cousin Kaayla Chones played in the WNBA.

• Knocked away his 50th season shot (67) vs. Minnesota ... has 82 career blocks
• Shot 71.8 percent (61-of-85) from the field and averaged 3.6 rpg.
• Handed out a career-high 5 assists vs. Houston Baptist Jan. 9 ... totaled 8 points against the Huskies after shooting 3-of-3 from the field and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe
• Rejected 6 ND shots in win over the No. 7 Irish Dec. 6 in Indianapolis ... also added 5 boards
• Scored a then career-best 10 points with a career-high 8 rebounds in the win vs. Samford (11/29) ... also contributed three blocks
• Recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds and played a career-high 29 minutes vs. BGSU Nov. 24, 2008
• Added 6 blocks vs. BGSU (11/24/08)
• Swatted a career-high 7 blocks against Delaware State and connected on all 3 FGA in 19 minutes of play (11/20/08) ... is the first Buckeye to reach 7 blocks in a game since Greg Oden in 2007
