Kalafatis on Reeder: “Kim had an outstanding fall. She had a no-hitter in the Charity Classic, pitched a few complete games and really showed how focused that she is for this season. Kim has had a wonderful career so far, she’s played a part in so many big games for us and with that experience, and I think this season she’ll end her career with her most consistent and successful season ever.”

Big Ten Pitcher of the Week Feb. 11 ... had 200 strikeouts in 222.0 innings ... went 18-16 with a 2.46 ERA ... threw one-hitter vs. Eastern Michigan March 21 ... went 2-1 at Sacramento March 14-16 ... ranked fourth in the Big Ten in innings pitched (91.2), sixth in strike-outs (87) and ninth in ERA (3.89) ... pitched an OSU single-season record 23 complete games ... Academic All-Big Ten and OSU Scholar-Athlete.

2007 (Sophomore Season): Went 17-8 with a 2.62 ERA and 133 strikeouts in 162.2 innings ... named team scholar-athlete of the year ... beat Virginia Tech twice, March 10 in Clearwater (7ip, 3h, 0r) then May 19 at home in NCAA regional (5.1ip, 3h, 1r) ... started Big Ten tournament title game vs. Northwestern (4.0ip, 1ur, 1h, 3k) ... threw two no-hitters (March 3 at UAB, March 18 vs. Oakland) ... went 8-2 in final two months of the season before season-ending loss in NCAA tournament ... Big Ten Pitcher of the Week March 13 ... among Big Ten leaders (eighth in wins and starts, ninth in opposing batting average (.219) and 10th in innings) ... went 25.1 consecutive innings with allowing an earned run (March 3-9) and 20.2 inning streak April 29-May 10 ... UAB Magic City Classic all-tourn. Team ... Academic All-Big Ten and OSU Scholar-Athlete.

2006 (Freshman Season): Named OSU’s Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the postseason banquet ... went 16-11 with a staff-best 1.91 ERA ... win total tied the OSU freshman record, her 158 strikeouts rank second and she ranked third in innings pitched (179.2), complete games (15) and shutouts (4, tie) ... went 5-3 in Big Ten games with a 1.56 ERA ... in the regular season allowed one earned run in 15.2 innings pitched against Top 10 opponents ... threw four three-hit shutouts in April ... named to the Crimson Classic All-Tournament team March 5 after winning twice, including a six-hit, seven-strikeout performance in a 3-1 win at No. 6 Alabama March 3 ... pitched 4.1 innings of no-hit relief vs. No. 3 UCLA Feb. 24 ... batted .111 (1-for-9) ... notched an RBI single in OSU’s 10-6 win at Wisconsin April 30.

Prior to Ohio State: Owned a career high school record of 81-5 with 19 no-hitters, 73 shutouts and eight perfect games ... was the California Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior ... earned first-team All-America honors as a sophomore and junior and was a second-team pick as a senior ... racked up 882 strikeouts in 626 innings in her prep career ... had a 0.00 ERA as a sophomore, 0.26 as a junior and 0.34 as a senior ... captain and team MVP as a senior ... batted .390 as a senior ... earned first-team all-conference honors in soccer as a junior and senior and was the league MVP as a junior ... was her team’s defensive MVP as a junior and offensive MVP as a senior.

Personal: Daughter of Kim and Cindy Reeder ... father played football at Washington State and played against the Buckeyes in 1973 (in Ohio Stadium during OSU’s undefeated season) and 1974 ... has three brothers, Trevor (28), Travis (24) and Taylor (18) ... would like to be a television commentator after graduation ... enjoys soccer, the beach, friends and new experiences ... carried a grade point average of 4.3 in high school and is a life member of the California Scholarship Federation.
