2006 (Sophomore): Moved back to cornerback after a stint at tailback

2005 (Freshman): Member of the special teams ... season ended prematurely at Minnesota when he tore his ACL ... had surgery in November and sat out winter conditioning and spring practice.

High School: Had five interceptions as a junior and four more as a senior ... also played running back and ran for more than 3,700 yards his last two years, including 2,400 yards and 27 touchdowns as a junior ... first team all-Ohio honors as a senior at running back when he averaged more than 10 yards per carry ... also returned punts in high school ... was the first commitment in the 2004 class.

Personal: Son of Garcia Lane and Denella Stanford ...has an older brother, Troy, and a younger brother, Benjamin, who plays football at Youngstown State ... also has a younger sister, Olivia ... in addition to winning All-Big Ten honors, his father was a Buckeye football co-captain in 1983.

The Ohio State University Department of Athletics sponsors 36 fully funded varsity teams – 17 for women, 16 for men and three co-educational. The department is committed to providing its more than 1,000 student-athletes with the finest in academic and athletics support in order to ensure a quality and life-enhancing experience. The Department of Athletics is completely self-supporting and receives no university monies, tax dollars or student fees. In Fiscal Year 2009-10, the Department of Athletics will transfer back to the University more than $29 million in assessments, including $14.5 million in grant-in-aid costs.
