2006 (Sophomore): Saw action in three games, playing against Cincinnati, Indiana and Northwestern.

2004 (Redshirt): Seemed a cinch to redshirt and understudy Justin Zwick and Troy Smith, but that changed in week six when Zwick injured his shoulder at Iowa ... was basically the No. 2 QB from that point on... graduated from St. Henry in the spring of 2003 and enrolled at OSU part-time the following fall ... took part in fall drills until classes started and in Fiesta Bowl practice before enrolling full-time Winter Quarter 2004.

High School: Four-year starter who led St. Henry to the Division V state title game as a freshman ... threw for 7,021 yards and 64 touchdowns in his career, including 2,520 yards and 23 touchdowns as a freshman ... coached by father, Tim Boeckman (now the AD at St. Henry) ... also all-state in basketball and baseball ... four-year letterman in basketball and a three-year letterman in baseball ... averaged 18.6 points per game as a junior ... attended same high school that sent Bobby Hoying and Jim Lachey to Ohio State.

Personal: Son of Tim and Denise Boeckman ... older brother, Trent, played baseball at Defiance and younger brother, Toby, plays football at Cincinnati ... a cousin, Cory Luebke, pitched for OSU and is now in the San Diego Padres organization.

The Ohio State University Department of Athletics sponsors 36 fully funded varsity teams – 17 for women, 16 for men and three co-educational. The department is committed to providing its more than 1,000 student-athletes with the finest in academic and athletics support in order to ensure a quality and life-enhancing experience. The Department of Athletics is completely self-supporting and receives no university monies, tax dollars or student fees. In Fiscal Year 2009-10, the Department of Athletics will transfer back to the University more than $29 million in assessments, including $14.5 million in grant-in-aid costs.
