2006 (Sophomore): For the second consecutive season ranked sixth individually in the Big Ten in punting average (41.0) and helped the Buckeyes’ punt coverage unit rank third with a 38.9 net punt average ... only 15 of his 49 punts were returned (2.1 yard average return) ... punted six times in the win at Texas for a 50.8-yard average, which ranks as the third-best single-game performance in OSU history ... four of his six punts at Texas were 50+ yards and he was named the team and Big Ten special teams player of the week for his efforts ... that average at Texas included a 39-yard punt at the end of the game that rolled out-of-bounds on the Texas 6-yard line ... the Longhorns’ average field position after a Trapasso punt was their own 21-yard line ... season-long was a 60-yarder at Illinois ... punted seven times at Illinois for a 40.7-yard average ... other longs included a 59-yarder at Texas, a 53-yarder vs. Penn State and a 52-yarder at Iowa ... totaled nine punts of 50+ yards during the regular season.
2005 (Freshman): Averaged a very respectable 40.4 yards per punt in his first season as the Buckeyes’ punter ... finished sixth in the Big Ten in overall punting and third in net punting ... dropped 19 of his 43 punts inside the 20-yard line and had just three touchbacks ... unloaded a 76-yard punt against Michigan State – the fifth longest punt in Ohio State history ... also had a 60-yard kick against Penn State and three others of at least 50 yards ... in 12 games, Ohio State’s opponents averaged a meager 5.2 yards per punt return.
2004 (Redshirt): Graduated early from high school and took part in spring drills ... did not play in any games and was redshirted.
High School: Two-time all-state selection, winning first-team honors as a place-kicker as a junior and as a punter as a senior ... also played running back and rushed for 3,754 yards and 50 touchdowns in that role ... averaged 8.6 yards per carry and was the team’s MVP as a junior ... was the offensive MVP the following year ... also played baseball in high school.
