COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State pistol team moved to 3-0 on the season with wins over Purdue and Akron in a tri-match hosted by Purdue. In the open event, the Buckeyes scored 4,419 with Akron second at 3,913 and Purdue third at 2,256. OSU finished first in all three open events posting a 942 in free pistol (30 shots), a 2,029 in standard pistol (60 shots) and a 1,448 in air pistol (40 shots). In the women's sport pistol (60 shots), the Buckeyes recorded a 1,631.
OSU's Kelsey Imig won the standard and sport pistol events with scores of 542 and 553, respectively. She also posted firsts in three-gun aggregate (1,144) and two-gun aggregate (917). Buckeye Blake Reburn won free pistol with a 244 and air pistol with a 374.
Ohio State returns to action, Nov. 13-14 at Texas A&M.
