COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State (1-1) rifle team picked up a 4,577 to 4,562 victory at Morehead State Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes defeated Morehead State in air rifle, 2,311 to 2,292 but fell, 2,270 to 2,266 in smallbore. Individual in smallbore rifle, OSU's Amanda Furrer won the event with a 583. Morehead State's Elizabeth Lyon was second at 574. Buckeye James Clark was third at 569. In air rifle, Lyon took first place with a 586.Furrer was second at 581 with Clark and Robert Mangaudis posting a 577 to tie for third place. Furrer finished first with a 1,164 in the two-gun aggregate. Lyon, with a 1,160, was second and Clark finished third at 1,146.
The Buckeyes continue the road trip, shooting at Kentucky Sunday.
