Senior tackle Kirk Barton

Larry Grant, senior linebacker
On the SEC/Pac-10 vs. Big Ten discussion
“We’re concerned with who we’re playing this week. Illinois is our main focus. We think about what it’d be like playing LSU, but we have to stay on the task at hand and that is against Illinois this Saturday.”

Trevor Robinson, senior fullback
On Beanie Wells’ touchdowns Saturday against Wisconsin
“It’s like a touchdown for us (fullbacks), too. We don’t get many touches, so anytime we can contribute to a touchdown by blocking for someone it satisfies us.”

Tyler “Tank” Whaley, senior fullback
On his experiences at Ohio State
“Unbelievable. A dream come true. Coming in and being a walk-on and working toward a scholarship has been amazing. My years at Ohio State have been the best of my life.

On Todd Boeckman
“We know Todd can get the job done whether he’s throwing to Brian Hartline, Robo (Brian Robiskie), Ray Small, or a tight end with the 3rd option. Todd’s play this season has giving us tremendous confidence and we trust the coaches’ play calling to go along with that.”

Dionte Johnson, senior fullback
On Illinois
“They have nine returning starters and are a very tough team. They have been playing great. Illinois gives us something different every time and we have to be prepared for them. We know that they’ll be ready for us.”

On going through the tunnel the last time
“I can’t believe this moment is actually here. I have been thinking about it a lot but we all have to move on. It’s a part of college athletics. We are going to make it a special day and we want to go out in style.”

Kirk Barton, senior right tackle
On Illinois
“They are a very good team and are hungry for a win. They play great defense and play tough. It is going to be a good game on Saturday.”

On Ohio State and his last game
“I love this place. It has been my home and our last game at the Shoe will be special. I’m going to miss my teammates the most. Over the years, they become your best friends. The coaches and trainers have been great.”

On the offense
“We feel better about our game plan as the season goes on. We have started to pick it up more with the more experience we gain. As an offense, we now know what to expect and hopefully, we will continue to get better and better.”
