Release: 06/29/2007

Two-time NCAA champion J Jaggers will begin his first season as a member of the coaching staff in 2009-10. Jaggers concluded his Buckeye career in impressive fashion, becoming just the third wrestler in program history to win two national titles. A three-time All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier, Jaggers was named the Ohio State Male Athlete of the Year in 2009. He also capped his career with a Big Ten Conference Medal of Honor nomination. In all, Jaggers compiled 107 wins during his career.

After winning his first national title in 2008, Jaggers was honored by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission with the Collegiate Athlete of the Year honor.

Excelling in the classroom, Jaggers was a three-time NWCA All-Academic Team member, two-time Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete recipient. Jaggers earned his bachelor's degree in communication in March.

While working with the Buckeyes, Jaggers also will be training for a roster spot on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team.
