The Buckeyes responded at 5:02 when, while skating through the slot, Zac Dalpe scored unassisted on a wrist shot over Phillip's glove.
Following a scoreless 5-minute overtime, the teams both entered their first shootouts of the season. Albert went first, scoring five-hole, and ND's Maday responded with a goal over the left shoulder to even it at 1-all.
