Alex Boone checks into the University Plaza hotel for the start of his final season as a Buckeye.

The 2008 football season officially started Sunday as players checked in for the first day of fall camp. Practice gets underway Monday.

Ohio State football players reported to the University Plaza Hotel in Columbus around the noon hour Sunday for the official beginning of the 2008 season.

The Buckeyes checked into their rooms before heading over to the Woody Hayes Athletics Center and the Wexner Football Complex for a team meeting. Prior to the meeting, seniors Alex Boone, Marcus Freeman and A.J. Trapasso and juniors Kurt Coleman and Chris "Beanie" Wells met with members of the media.
