In a game that will take its place in history as one of the greatest ever played in Ohio Stadium, the Buckeyes rallied from a 13-point deficit to upset No. 7 LSU, 36-33.

The Tigers led 33-20 with 4:29 left to play, but Ohio State wasn't out of the game.

First, Ohio State tailback Carlos Snow sliced into the end zone for five yards out to cap a 10-play, 59-yard drive to cut the LSU advantage to six at 33-27 with less than two minutes to play.

Then, the Buckeye defense, which earlier had scored on a blocked punt, held the Tigers on downs. LSU opted for a safety and a free kick with 1:34 to go.

The stage was set for one of the most dramatic endings in Ohio Stadium history. Flanker Bobby Olive was the star of the final act. His 30-yard runback of LSU's free kick put the ball on the Tigers' 38. Four plays later, Olive's diving catch in the end zone of a perfectly placed Greg Frey pass sent the second largest crowd in Ohio Stadium history into a frenzy.
