October 2nd & 3rd - Men's Soccer Alumni Recognition Weekend
Plan to join teammates for a celebration of Buckeye Soccer with the theme, 'Decade of Champions' highlighting Big 10 Champion teams from 2000-2009, and recognizing all alumni who laid the groundwork for success. Tentative activities include Alumni vs. Alumni kick-around, special social, and group seating at the Columbus Crew match on Saturday; then Buckeyes vs Michigan State with recognition of alumni from each decade at half time on Sunday.

Approximately 40 Men's Soccer alumni representing every decade from the first teams in the early 1950's to the most recent 2008 alums returned to campus during the Wolstein Soccer Classic to help kick off the 2009 Buckeye Men's Soccer season. Alumni from Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and all corners of Ohio joined local alums to reminisce with former teammates, meet other soccer Buckeyes, enjoy tailgates, Buckeye football, and meet-the-team events and, of course, to cheer on the current student-athletes representing the Buckeyes on the pitch. Thanks to Buckeye Soccer alums Tom Walsh ('71-'74) for taking photos, and Jim Waters ('82-'83) for organizing tailgates. Also, thanks to Alumni & Friends coordinator, Teri Casperson for facilitating the weekend's events.

Over $4,600 was raised to supplement the Men's Soccer Discretionary Account providing funds for a variety of projects that enhance the experience of our student-athletes.
