Request-a-Tutor Instructions

Additional Tutoring Resources Now Available

Students,
In light of the flu outbreak, we want to provide you with alternatives to missed tutoring sessions due to tutor illness:

Schedule with another SASSO tutor:
We will try to find another tutor available at that time, but we may contact you to provide alternative times you can meet. If we are unable to find a substitute, then look below for alternatives:

MATH tutoring alternatives:
1) Math Tutor Room in 320 Younkin, 7:30-9:30pm Sunday through Thursday.
2) Walk-in math tutoring from 5:30-7:30pm in room 210 Younkin on Tuesdays and Thursdays
3) Walk-in math tutoring in Cockins Hall Monday through Thursday 9:30-4:30, Friday 9:30-1:30

Writing tutoring alternatives:
1) Karen Sedoti has Monday and Wednesday 10-11am and Friday 9-10am for walk-in writing tutoring. Look for her name and location on the dry-erase board in 310
2) Contact the Writing Center to schedule an appointment

Alternatives for other classes:
1) Check HERE for campus tutoring resources
2) Check with your instructor about tutor resources for the course

Please Note: You can email your tutor to reschedule a time, but that could be unpredictable because of the illness

If you need study table hours and are going to one of the campus resources, you can get credit by taking an alternative study table form (pick it up at the front desk in 350 Younkin) to the resource and have someone sign it attesting to the fact that you were there.

Tutor Request Instructions:

  • Please remember to check the drop-down menu for your requested course.
  • List all possible availibility (days and times) in support of your tutor request.
  • We can not gaurantee we will have a tutor for your request.  It is suggested that you also contact the course instructor for additional help and possible resources.
Once your request has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.

The email will give the tutor's name, subject, date and time of appointment.

Remember to bring your BuckID and check in with the proctor in Room 310.

If you have scheduled an appointment and are unable to attend, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment.
