Postgame Quotes

Jim Foster, head coach
On using a lot of players
“Using everybody makes a great difference because the experience they gain while playing gives them many advantages. The experiences are different for every player and that can make a big difference in their game.”

On defense:
“We got much better defensively during the second half. Our work ethic improved and we did a better job defending their guards.”

On playing UD:
“Those girls played tough and hard. Their competitive road schedule gave them an edge and allowed them to come back from a 12 point deficit. I give them a lot of credit because it’s rare to see a team come back when they are trailing by that much. It’s going to be a tough and competitive game tomorrow.”

Jantel Lavender, sophomore center
On the game
“I’m really happy that everyone got to play and contribute to our win. It shows how deep our team is and it was a lot of fun to watch.”

On playing Dayton
“They play hard and are a scrappy team. They are a team that gets excited over the little things. It will be important for us to match their intensity. We know that they really want to come and beat us here at our house.”

Sarah Schulze, sophomore forward
On her performance
“I continually want to work as hard as I can because I know I don’t get a lot of minutes in the close games. I try to contribute the best of my ability. I know I need to work on making less turnovers and my passing game.”

Samantha Prahalis, freshman guard
On the game
“It is neat that everyone got to play. It was a good win for our team. It was nice to see Sarah (Schulze) well. She can shoot and I’m not surprised how well she played today.”

On playing with Jantel Lavender
“She knows that she can get assists when she is being double teamed. She is a smart player and knows where I am on the court.”

Kelly Greenberg, Boston University head coach
On the game
“I thought we were okay offensively. We did a lot of good things up until the half, but I think our defense the first half hurt us. In the second half, we played together more and our defense was better.”

On Samantha Prahalis
“I think she brings an energy that they didn’t have last year. She’s a great addition to their team and will help them in the Big Ten.”

On Central Michigan
“After a loss like that, I know they’re going to be hungry. It’s going to be a good game. We have to be ready. We need to be able to play back-to-back games. It should be a good match-up.”
