Buckeyes Defeat Akron and North Georgia In Open Event Competition

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State (6-0) pistol team won the Autumn Classic with wins over Akron and North Georgia. The Buckeyes shot 6,269 in the open events with Akron scoring 4,428 for second and North George, third at 3,791. Ohio State shooters won all seven individual events in the Classic. Kelsey Imig was first in standard pistol (531) and the three-gun aggregate (1,589). Blake Reburn, II won air pistol (548) and won the tiebreaker over Imig to win free pistol (512). In air pistol, Imig finishes first (366) while Erin Meadows won sport pistol (557) and the two-gun aggregate (921). Meadows finished second in women's air pistol (364) and open air pistol (547).

The Buckeyes enter the winter break undefeated in open and women's (3-0) competition and will return to action, Jan. 8-9 by hosting the National Air Pistol Sectional match.
