Buckeyes bring carved pumpkins and donations to local site
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Members of various Ohio State teams visited the Ronald McDonald House last week to share carved pumpkins and drop off paper product donations from the athletics staff. The Jack-O-Lanterns were from the Athletics Department's annual carving contest.
Winner of the 2009 contest was Brittan Roth from event management with her hamburger pumpkin. Jen Bulla from the business office was runner-up with her "mummy" and Kevin Gilson from facilities took third with his Brutus version.
Also participating were Kate Riffee (development), Lisa Doersam (business office), Kat Seymour (merchandising), Kathy Biddle (business office) and the fan experience and promotions staff.
Prizes for the carving contest were generously donated by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Old Man's Cave Chalets, Vino Vino, Pure Imagination Chocolatiers, Blackwell Inn, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Half Price Books.
